Bobby Lorenzo Washington, affectionately known as "Meat Wagon, "was born on April 20, 1961, in King George, Virginia, to Lloyd Washington Jr. and the late Dorothy Mae Washington. He was educated in the Caroline County Public School System. On Sunday, August 2, 2026, Bobby peacefully departed this life at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Erica Russell, surrounded by loved ones.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing Bobby had a strong relationship with the Lord. He rededicated his life to Christ at Salem Baptist Church in King George, Virginia, under the leadership of the late Pastor Leonard G. Bland. His favorite saying. "God got me, "reflected his unwavering faith. The memory of Bobby's laughter, generosity. wisdom, and unconditional love will forever remain with us. His legacy of compassion, humility, and service will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
Bobby was a man who never met a stranger. He believed no one should ever go hungry and always had food to share, offering it gladly to anyone in need—family, friends, neighbors, or someone he had just met. His open heart and helping hands defined the way he lived his life.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding four-wheelers with his grandchildren. Time spent with family and friends brought him great joy. A hardworking man, Bobby dedicated many years of service to Moore Business Forms, Printpack, and First Builders Pro Source, earning the respect of his coworkers through his strong work ethic and dependable nature.
He leaves to cherish his memory his siblings: Odessa (James) Gardner of Essex, Virginia; Kerry Washington of Farnham, Virginia; Keith (Yolanda) Washington of Spotsylvania, Virginia; Tina Washington and Pamela Washington of Fredericksburg, Virginia; Tony (Rhonda) Washington of Spotsylvania, Virginia; Nicole (Cebron) Mercer of Henrico, Virginia; Tracy Childs of Fredericksburg, Virginia; Damone Washington of King George,
Virginia; and Mark (Jacqueline) Washington of Milford, Virginia.
He is also survived by his beloved son, Charles (Erica) Russell; his beloved daughter, Kyarra Bell; eight precious grandchildren—Willow, London, Isla, Tristan, Miona, Heaven, Elijah, and Jesiah; and several great grandchildren—Bodhi, Sakaura, and Satoki.
He was preceded in death by Phyllis Washington (Fuzzy), the love of his life. Her children and grandchildren were his bonus family, whom he cherished deeply.
Bobby will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, church family, and dear friends. His love, guidance, and generous spirit will continue to live on through all who knew him.
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
